Carrom board tournament organised in Pollachi as part of DMK Youth Wing Secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin’s birth anniversary celebrations

Coimbatore: A carrom board tournament was organised in Pollachi on behalf of the DMK Coimbatore South Administrators.

DMK State Youth Wing Secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin's 44th birthday is celebrated across Tamil Nadu.As part of the celebrations, the South Indian level singles base carrom board competition began Sunday to encourage more number of people to play the game. The tournament was organised at the DMK office building in Pollachi on behalf of Coimbatore South District Administrators.

As many as 130 participants from various districts including Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, Salem, Dindigul, and Kerala participated. In the nail-biting knock out match conducted, Thangaraj of Mettupalayam secured off the first prize

Cash prize of Rs 20,000 was awarded to the winner, Rs 10,000 was given to Sasi of Erode district who bagged second place, Nizam of Coimbatore, who won the third prize received Rs. 5,000. Trophies were given to the winners. Former Coimbatore South District In-charge Thendral Selvaraj and others were present on the occasion.
